comment (from: Schulmeister, S. 2003.) Derived from the Latin "planta" (sole of the foot) which has been used for the underside of the tarsomeres. "Planta" is also used to indicate a sclerite on the arolium and the basal tarsomere of the hindleg of worker bees (von Keler 1963). by:Andy Deans
