Paired stucture of the mesoscutum, ranging from a deep, continuous or slightly punctate line to a very shallow, mere indication of a line extending from the anterior to the posterior margin of the mesoscutum. In taxa with a reduced notauli, only the anterior and posterior ends are visible. Notauli have also been referred to as parapsidal grooves (e.g. Weld, 1952). Absent in Zaeucoilini, notauli are common within the Diglyphosemini. by:Istvan Miko
